Samuel Hardman Smith (July 22, 1868 – February 21, 1956)[1] was a politician in Alberta, Canada, and a municipal councillor in Edmonton.

Samuel Smith was born at The Grange, Hethersett, Norfolk, England, on July 22, 1868.

His family moved to Iowa in 1880 to farm near LeMars, where Smith attended high school.

In the 1905 municipal election, he ran for alderman on Edmonton City Council.

Samuel Smith was active with the Edmonton Club, the Anglican Church, and the Liberal Party.
