San Felipe Jalapa de Díaz is a town, and the surrounding municipality of the same name, in the Mexican state of Oaxaca.
[1] The municipality is at an altitude of 140 meters above sea level, and covers 154.38 km2, located on the left bank of the Santo Domingo river.
The climate is hot, averaging 24.7 °C year round, with rainfall in the months of June, July, August, September and October.
Forested areas contain fig, avocado, mahogany, oak, cedar, limaloe, palm and ceiba hormiguillo.
