17.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.1% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.

About 5.4% of families and 7.8% of the population were below the poverty line, including 14.1% of those under the age of eighteen and none of those 65 or over.

The Town of Sanctuary is served by the Azle Independent School District.
