The film begins with two neighbors, Navin Babu, a wealthy & Gurcharan, a bourgeois.

At once, she gets cordial with Navin Babu's family and becomes friends with his son Shekar.

On one occasion, Shekar & Lalita swap the garland, which no one knows but underscored as nuptial.

After some time, in his last stage, Gurcharan extracts a promise from Girish to marry Lalita.

Navin Babu also dies when Shekar receives Girish & Lalita's wedding card.
