Sankrail is a census town in Sankrail CD Block of Howrah Sadar subdivision in Howrah district in the Indian state of West Bengal.

As per 2011 Census of India Sankrail had a total population of 29,114 of which 14,919 (51%) were males and 14,195 (49%) were females.

The total number of literates in Sankrail was 21,192 (82.18% of the population over 6 years).
