Sara Rural District (Persian: دهستان سرا)[3] is in the Central District of Saqqez County, Kurdistan province, Iran.

[5] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 12,408 in 2,491 households.

[7] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 11,842 in 3,174 households.

The most populous of its 47 villages was Kahrizeh, with 1,568 people.
