Sarah Chan

Sarah Chan is Chancellor's Fellow in Ethics and Science Communicator in The Usher Institute at the University of Edinburgh.

Chan moved to the United Kingdom, and earned a doctoral degree in healthcare ethics at the University of Manchester.

[3] Chan works on medical ethics, with a particular focus on stem cells, embryos and reproductive medicine.

[5] She moved to the University of Edinburgh In 2016 she was awarded a Wellcome Trust seed grant to investigate the relationships between social media and health, studying the nature of patient participation in the digital age.

[7][8] Chan is a popular science communicator, and has delivered lectures at various venues including the Max Planck Institute of Neurobiology,[9] the Royal Society[10] and the Nuffield Council on Bioethics.
