Sarkhun (Persian: سرخون)[a] is a village in, and the capital of, Sarkhun Rural District of the Central District of Bandar Abbas County, Hormozgan province, Iran.
[4] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the village's population was 3,870 in 896 households, when it was in Qaleh Qazi District.
[5] The following census in 2011 counted 4,528 people in 1,238 households,[6] by which time the rural district had been transferred to the Central District.
