Sarmad Jalal Osmany

Sarmad Jalal Osmany is a Pakistani jurist who served as a chief justice of the Sindh High Court.

[3][2] Osmany began his legal career as an associate at a law firm in Karachi between 1979 and 1982, followed by a stint at Shearman & Sterling in New York City from 1983 to 1984, focusing on international trade and banking.

[3] In 1985, Osmany founded his own law firm in Karachi, practicing primarily in the fields of banking, shipping, and mergers and acquisitions.

He adjudicated cases related to shipping, banking, property, tax, constitutional, and criminal law.

[3] He participated in the Provincial Steering Committee for the Sindh in Pakistan's Judicial and Legal Reform Project, funded by the Asian Development Bank.
