Sassov (Hasidic dynasty)

Rebbe Yoel Meir Shlita is considered unsurpassed in his generation as a master of the hidden and revealed aspects of Torah, and as a Tzaddik, a holy saint, and has a local following, the Sassover Hasidim of Hillside, NJ.

Rebbe Yoel Shlita has 3 children: Rebbetzin Talya, married to Reb Areleh Balter, Sassover emmisaries to Washington DC.

Shoshana Shifra, Maiden of Sassov, who is known to be unsurpassed in piety and holiness, and is considered the greatest female Torah scholar to appear on the scene in the last 3 centuries.

They asked Rabbi Sholom Rokeach, known as the Sar Shalom of Belz, for guidance as to whom to appoint as Rebbe.

Rabbi Shlomo's father was the first Rebbe of Alesk and his mother was the daughter of the Sar Shalom.
