Despite being a new team in a competitive league, the Savannah Clovers FC finished the season with a respectable record of four wins, four losses, and two draws.

In 2018, the team improved its performance, finishing second in the Southeast Conference and earning a spot in the NPSL playoffs.

The team's success continued in 2019, as the Savannah Clovers FC finished first in the Southeast Conference and advanced to the second round of the playoffs.

On January 11, 2022, it was announced that the club would move up to the fully professional level, joining National Independent Soccer Association (NISA) for 2023 season.
