Scappoose /skæˈpuːs/ is a city in Columbia County, Oregon, United States.

The Mayor is elected for a two-year term and is chair of the City Council.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 2.75 square miles (7.12 km2), all of it land.

Dairies, farming, and logging played an important role in the early years of Scappoose's history.
