The desert shrub plant community includes such species as Atriplex confertifolia, Pleuraphis jamesii, Artemisia nova, and Achnatherum hymenoides.

[3] This cactus grows throughout the Uinta Basin of Utah, mainly in Uintah County along the Green River and its tributaries.
