Aubrey Sparks is a civilian who gains pyrokinetic abilities and becomes a supervillain after the Joker gains Mister Mxyzptlk's powers and creates a warped alternate universe.

[2][3] Scorch later helps Martian Manhunter overcome his weakness to fire, but inadvertently releases his repressed Fernus personality.

[4] In Infinite Crisis, Scorch resurfaces and joins Alexander Luthor Jr.'s Secret Society of Super Villains.
