A youth team product of the Gippsland Falcons, Miller went on to play for State League clubs Essendon Royals and Fitzroy City before his career was cut short by injuries in his early 20s.
[11][12] The appointment of Miller made him the youngest head coach in the decade-long history of the A-League at just 33 years of age.
[14] On 30 November 2016, Miller returned to Europe and joined Danish club Aalborg BK as an assistant coach, on a two-year contract.
[19] Miller possesses an AFC Pro Diploma, UEFA A-Licence, and also holds university degrees in sports science and psychology.
[20] In addition to soccer training sessions, the academy's 10-week program educates boys and girls in nutrition, physical fitness, and injury prevention.
