Scott is Township 19 North, Range 7 East of the Third Principal Meridian.

According to the 2010 census, the township has a total area of 35.88 square miles (92.9 km2), all land.

22.40% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.70% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
