As of the 2020 census, the CDP population was 843, spread among three Hopi Indian villages, Musungnuvi (or Mishongnovi), Supawlavi (or Sipaulovi), and Songoopavi (or Shungopavi).
According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 26.5 square miles (69 km2).
[5] Of the 209 households 46% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 45% were married couples living together, 34% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19% were non-families.

The Hopi Lavayi Nest Model Program, a pilot Hopi language revitalization project for families with children birth through age five was launched in the village of Sipaulovi.
