Sedgeford is a former rural locality in the Barcaldine Region, Queensland, Australia.
[1] On 22 November 2019, the Queensland Government decided to amalgamate the localities in the Barcaldine Region, resulting in five expanded localities based on the larger towns: Alpha, Aramac, Barcaldine, Jericho and Muttaburra.
[3][4][5] The Central Western railway line and, to its immediate south, the Capricorn Highway form the northern boundary of the locality.
[7] In 1912 Sedgeford pastoral station was sold by Mr Donaldson to Messrs Clark & Whiting.
The nearest secondary schools including Years 11 and 12 are in Barcaldine and Emerald.
