Seki, Gifu

Seki is located in central Gifu Prefecture at the northern tip of the Nōbi Plain, approximately 40 kilometers north of Nagoya.

Mount Takinami is the highest point in the city, with an elevation of 1,412 metres (4,633 ft).

Seki has a mayor-council form of government with a directly elected mayor and a unicameral city legislature of 23 members.

Seki is today considered the home of modern Japanese kitchen cutlery[citation needed].
