Seondha

Seondha is a town and nagar panchayat in Datia district in the Indian state of Madhya Pradesh.

A large Datia era fortress is located along the banks of the River Sindh.

Sankua Kund, a waterfall on the river, holds significance in the Hindu religion.

It is believed that the Four Kumaras: Sanaka, Sanandana, Sanatana and Sanatkumara, are still meditating in their child avatars.

Sankua is a famous place in Seondha because after Diwali, Mela (a fair) is conducted on Purnima, the day of the full moon, and people take baths in the Sindh river on this day.
