Serow, Iran

Serow (Persian: سرو)[a] is a city in, and the capital of, Sumay-ye Beradust District of Urmia County, West Azerbaijan province, Iran.

The first are the Kurds who speak Kurmanji Kurdish and follow Sunni Islam.

The second are the Azerbaijanis who speak Azeri Turkish and follow Shia Islam.

[5][6] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 1,508 in 279 households.

[8] The 2016 census measured the population of the city as 1,800 people in 469 households.
