Race and politics Shamsul Azri bin Abu Bakar (Jawi: شمس الأزرى بن أبو بكر; born 27 January 1969) is a Malaysian public servant who is the 16th and current Chief Secretary to the Government.
[1] Shamsul Azri holds a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Tulsa.
[2] Shamsul Azri's career includes positions at the Ministry of Finance, the Public Service Department, and various state government administrations.
[5] On 4 October 2022, he was appointed the Director General of the Public-Private Partnership Unit (UKAS) in the Prime Minister's Department.
Mohd Zuki served as Chief Secretary from 2019 and was reappointed on a contract basis in 2022 for an additional two years.
