Shannon Lee (violinist)

[3][4] Born in Canada to engineer parents, Lee started the violin at the age of 4 in Plano, Texas.

[4][5] Lee debuted at the age of 12 with the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, and two years later performed with Christof Perick and the Nuremberg Philharmonic.

In 2013, she earned a bachelor's degree in computer science at Columbia University, where she also studied with David Nadien, former concertmaster of the New York Philharmonic.

[3][4] In 2016 Lee earned a Performance Diploma at the Curtis Institute of Music, where she studied with Ida Kavafian and Arnold Steinhardt.

[1] During her time in Philadelphia, she worked under the mentorship of Mary Javian as a Curtis ArtistYear Fellow, helping to support music programs for Cramp Elementary and high school students with help from the All City Orchestra chamber music programs.
