Shazand (Persian: شازند)[a] is a city in the Central District of Shazand County,[b] Markazi province, Iran, serving as capital of both the county and the district.

[5] At the time of the 2006 National Census, the city's population was 19,353 in 5,265 households.

[6] The following census in 2011 counted 21,156 people in 6,231 households.
