The song was released as a single on Jive Records in November 1991.

"She Got That Vibe" was later picked on R. Kelly's first compilation album, The R. in R&B Collection, Vol.

Emma Cochrane from Smash Hits gave "She's Got That Vibe" three out of five, noting that Kelly "has wisely dropped the sexist lyrics of his latest release, "Summer Bunnies", and instead gone for a swingbeaty kind of groove.
