Sherando is a census-designated place (CDP) in Augusta County, Virginia, United States.

Torry Furnace was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1974.

As of the census[1] of 2000, there were 665 people, 270 households, and 207 families residing in the CDP.

There were 270 households, out of which 33.0% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 57.0% were married couples living together, 12.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 23.3% were non-families.

18.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
