Shields is a town in Dodge County, Wisconsin, United States.
The town was named after James Shields, a general during the Mexican War and a United States senator who represented the states of Illinois, Minnesota, and Missouri.
As of the census[2] of 2000, there were 554 people, 198 households, and 158 families living in the town.
There were 203 housing units at an average density of 7.7 per square mile (3/km2).
18.2% of all households were made up of individuals, and 6.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
