It was adapted into a Japanese television drama, directed by Joji Matsuoka and starring Kaoru Kobayashi as the Master, and ran for three seasons from 2009 to 2014.

Written and illustrated by Yarō Abe [ja], Shin'ya Shokudō was first serialized in Shogakukan's seinen manga magazine Big Comic Original Zōkan [ja] from October 12, 2006,[a] to August 11, 2007.
