Ship measurements

There are two types: Carlin – Similar to beam, except running in a fore and aft direction.

There are two common types: Displacement – A measurement of the weight or mass of the vessel, at a given draught.

Length between perpendiculars – The distance between where the forward part cuts the waterline and the rudder post of the ship.
