Show Your Love is the third studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai, released on December 22, 2000, by Universal and D Sound.
To enhance the festive atmosphere of the song, eight African-American backup singers from New York City were invited to provide backing vocals.
The song features a delicate and uplifting melody, with lyrics that express a young woman's nuanced longing for love and her fear of being hurt.
"Feel Your Presence" reflects Tsai's transition from childhood to womanhood, expressing her evolving outlook on love and the anticipation of its arrival.
[17] On March 16, 2001, Universal released another "Commemorative" edition of the album, which included two additional music videos and three live performance clips from the Show Your Love Concert.
[22] The album went on to achieve commercial success, ranking number 11 on Taiwan's Rose Record year-end sales chart of 2001.
On December 12, 2000, the music video for "Show Your Love" was released on several major Taiwanese websites, including Yahoo, PChome, Yam, and Sina.
[13] Directed by Tony Lin, the "Show Your Love" music video featured 14 dancers to capture the lively party atmosphere.
Deng Ting of Southern Metropolis Daily commented: "The 2000 album Show Your Love clearly established Jolin Tsai's personal style.
Of course, being young means she may not yet have the depth of life experience, and after listening to the album, one feels that while first love is beautiful, reality holds greater importance.
"[30] Shu Wa of Tencent Entertainment stated: "It can be said that Show Your Love marks the beginning of Jolin Tsai's bold experimentation.
The standout feature of the album is undoubtedly the perfect rhythmic harmonies of eight African American backing vocalists in "Show Your Love", marking Tsai's first collaboration with renowned Korean producer Jae Chong.
