[2] Shrestha is the first Miss Nepal winner to reach the quarter-finals of Miss World; she finished in 20th place overall, achieved eighth place in Beach Beauty, and was one of the top ten contestants for the Multimedia Award.

She also won the Public Choice Award during the Miss World pageant.

[3] Her acting debut was in the Nepali film Gajalu, alongside Anmol K.C.

On the stage, she made her debut as Ophelia in a production of William Shakespeare's Hamlet.

This performance was staged at the Theatre Village in Kathmandu for one month, and was produced by the British Council.
