Sic, Cluj

Sic (Hungarian: Szék; German: Secken) is a commune in Cluj County, Transylvania, Romania.

A former salt-mining town, the commune is located in the eastern part of the county, in the Transylvanian Plain, 15 km (9.3 mi) south of Gherla and 39 km (24 mi) northeast of the county seat, Cluj-Napoca.

At the 2011 census, 93.8% of inhabitants were Hungarians, 3.6% Romanians and 0.4% Roma.

[3] At the 2002 census, 75% were Hungarian Reformed, 10% Seventh Day Adventists, 6.6% Roman Catholics and 3.7% Romanian Orthodox.
