Simen Andreas Ådnøy Ellingsen (born 14 May 1981) is a Norwegian engineering physicist specializing in fluid mechanics, especially waves, turbulence, and quantum mechanics.
He is a full professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology, at the Department of Energy and Process Engineering.
[2] He received the Royal Norwegian Society of Sciences and Letters Prize for Young Researchers in the Natural Sciences in 2011[3] and became a member of the Young Academy of Norway in 2019.
[4] He received a European Research Council Consolidator Grant in 2022.
