Simonésia is a Brazilian municipality located in the state of Minas Gerais.
Its discovery is generally credited to the explorers Luciano Galo Nunes and Manuel Antônio Meira.
The city belongs to the mesoregion of Zona da Mata and to the microregion of Manhuaçu.
