Simone Schnabel (née Koch; born 25 October 1969) is a German former competitive figure skater.
She is the 1983 World Junior champion and represented East Germany at the 1988 Winter Olympics in Calgary.
Koch learned her first triple jumps with coach Ingeburg Walter at the Dresdner EC.
In 1984, she was awarded the silver medal at the World Junior Championships, placing behind another East German, Karin Hendschke.
[2] In 1989, Koch was one of the favourites for the European Championships but she lost the qualifying competition in East Germany versus Evelyn Großmann and Simone Lang.
