Sir Richard Bedingfeld, 5th Baronet

He was the only son and heir of Sir Richard Bedingfeld, 4th Baronet (1720–1795) of Oxburgh Hall, and Hon.

[1][2] His paternal grandparents were Sir Henry Bedingfeld, 3rd Baronet[3] and Lady Elizabeth Boyle (a daughter of the 2nd Earl of Burlington).

[5] Upon the death of his father, who died intestate on 27 March 1795, he succeeded as the 5th Baronet Bedingfeld, of Oxburgh.

[8] Together, they were the parents of four sons and four daughters, including:[9] Sir Richard died in Windsor on 22 November 1829 while on his way to London to visit Lord Dillon at Ditchley.

[1] His widow, who was granted the precedence of the daughter of a baron in 1831, was a Woman of the Bedchamber to Queen Adelaide, died in London on 29 July 1854.
