Sir Richard Grosvenor, 4th Baronet

Sir Richard Grosvenor, 4th Baronet (/ˈɡroʊvənər/ GROH-vən-ər; 26 June 1689 – 12 July 1732) was an English politician who sat in the House of Commons from 1715 to 1732.

He was the brother of Sir Robert Grosvenor, 6th Baronet, an ancestor of the modern day Dukes of Westminster.

[1] At the time of his father's death in 1700, he was still being educated at Eton College, and was under the guardianship of Sir Richard Myddelton, 3rd Baronet, and Thomas and Francis Cholmondeley.

After leaving Eton, he went on the Grand Tour, visiting Switzerland, Bavaria, Italy and the Netherlands.

At the 1727 general election, Grosvenor and his brother Thomas, won both of the parliamentary seats for Chester.
