William Dalgleish

Sir William Ogilvy Dalgleish, 1st Baronet (17 June 1832 – 21 December 1913), was a Scottish businessman and benefactor.

Dalgleish was Chairman of Baxter Brothers & Co., Dundee.

[1] He was the principal benefactor of the medical school of University College, Dundee.

[2] He unsuccessfully contested Dundee as a Conservative in the 1892 general election.

[4] Dalgleish died in December 1913, aged 71, when the baronetcy became extinct.
