Sister Islands (Wisconsin)

Combined, the area of the islands sits at 6 acres (2.4 ha).

In 1964 there were an estimated 1,350 to 1,650 breeding pairs of herring gulls on the islands.

[3] Both islands are owned and operated by the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, and they are protected as the Sister Islands State Natural Area.

[4] The shipwreck Meridian lies in the water south of the islands.
