Slimnic (Hungarian: Szelindek) is a commune located in Sibiu County, Transylvania, Romania.

It is composed of five villages: Albi, Pădureni, Ruși, Slimnic, and Veseud.

The commune is situated on the Transylvanian Plateau, at an altitude of 439 m (1,440 ft), on the banks of the river Slimnic.

Slimnic is crossed by national road DN14 [ro], which starts in Sibiu, goes through Mediaș, and ends in Sighișoara.
