Slovenské Nové Mesto

Slovenské Nové Mesto (Hungarian: Újhely, Kisújhely, Szlovákújhely or Tótújhely) is a village and municipality in the Trebišov District in the Košice Region of south-eastern Slovakia.

The Košice - Mukacheve railway-line made the village strategically important.

The village lies at an altitude of 104 metres and covers an area of 13.382 km².

It has a population of about 1060 people The village is about 87% Slovak and 13% Hungarian The present mayor is Ján Kalinič.
