Social Democratic Party (Guinea-Bissau)

In the 1999–2000 general elections Bald was nominated as the party's presidential candidate, but finished eighth with 2.3% of the vote.

In the parliamentary elections, the party won three seats in the National People's Assembly.

[1] Prior to the 2004 parliamentary elections the party joined the Electoral Union alliance, which won two seats.

It did not contest the 2005 presidential elections, but supported runner-up Malam Bacai Sanhá.

The alliance contested the 2023 legislative election as part of a PAIGC-led coalition, the Inclusive Alliance Platform – Terra Ranka, that won 54 out of the 102 available seats.
