Solomon ben Meir

He was brother to Jacob (known as Rabbeinu Tam),[1] Samuel (known as Rashbam) and Isaac (known as Rivam).

He wrote a commentary on the Torah cited in the book Arugat Habosem by Rabbi Abraham ben Azriel.

[2] Rashi's commentary on the Talmud implies that he may have compiled a book of halachic rulings.

[4] In Machzor Vitry[5] he is described as the person who announced the death of Rabbi Yosef, the son of Rabbeinu Tam.

Rabbi Solomon passed away at a young age in Dampierre, France.
