Established as a vital member of the team, he would go on to score his first goal for the club on 24 October 2010 in a league game against Shaanxi Renhe in a 3–2 victory.
[7] He made his debut on 10 March 2018 in a 2–1 home loss to Beijing Renhe, coming on as a substitute for Wang Xiaolong in the 67th minute.
Song was called up for the Chinese national team in June 2015 for the 2018 FIFA World Cup qualification, replacing injury Yu Hai.
