Sonja Zimmermann (born 15 June 1999)[1] is a German field hockey player, who plays as a defender.

[3][4][5] In 2015 and 2016, Zimmermann was a member of the German U–18 team at the EuroHockey Youth Championship in Santander and Cork respectively.

[6][7] In 2019, Zimmermann made her debut for the German national team during the inaugural tournament of the FIH Pro League.

The team eventually won a bronze medal at the Grand Final in Amsterdam, Netherlands.

[8] Zimmermann represented the team again in August at the EuroHockey Nations Championship in Antwerp, Belgium.
