South Gifford is a village in Macon County, Missouri, United States.
South Gifford had its start in the early 1900s when the railroad was extended to that point.
[5] A post office called South Gifford was established in 1913, and remained in operation until 1971.
[7] Missouri Route 156 passes through the center of the village, leading east 10 miles (16 km) to La Plata and west 4 miles (6 km) to Route 149.
16.7% of all households were made up of individuals, and none had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
