Southmont is a borough in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, United States.
[5] It is bordered to the east by the city of Johnstown, to the north by the borough of Westmont, and to the southwest by the unincorporated community of Elim in Upper Yoder Township.
Southmont is located on heights rising nearly 600 feet (180 m) above the valley of the Stonycreek River which flows through Johnstown.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the borough has a total area of 1.0 square mile (2.7 km2), all land.
29.5% of all households were made up of individuals, and 13.6% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
