Sovereign is a special service area[1] within the Rural Municipality of St. Andrews No.

It had village status prior to December 31, 2005.

In the 2021 Census of Population conducted by Statistics Canada, Sovereign had a population of 40 living in 14 of its 19 total private dwellings, a change of 60% from its 2016 population of 25.
