The racial makeup of the township was 98.23% White, 0.30% African American, 0.33% Native American, 0.35% Asian, 0.14% Pacific Islander, 0.05% from other races, and 0.60% from two or more races.

There were 1,217 households, out of which 43.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 78.0% were married couples living together, 3.1% had a female householder with no husband present, and 15.9% were non-families.

11.3% of all households were made up of individuals, and 3.0% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
