St. Charles Towne Center is a 1,200,000-square-foot (110,000 m2) 2-level regional shopping mall serving residents of a large four-county area.

In 2008, St. Charles Parkway was connected with Rosewick Road, providing a new alternative route to the county seat La Plata.
